My week was focused purely on making progress on my original work project, which is a research paper. With the due date coming up for the OW, it has been stressful to plan out how everything will be done but I am confident that I will be able to do it with proper planning and dedication to ISM. It has been great to combine all of my research into a paper that takes the jumbled-up mess of my research and makes it into something more eloquent and insightful. I have been able to go over the things that I have learned throughout the year by doing this paper and have also worked on my writing skills, something that will come in handy in college and my adult life. With ISM being mostly asynchronous now, I have been tested on my determination and responsibility to get my work done. In college, there will be no one sitting next to me to ensure I am getting my work done, so I feel these next few weeks will be a challenging but rewarding experience for me in the long run.
Besides this, I am looking forward to my next mentor meeting with Dr. Uddin which will be occurring next week on Wednesday. I have been doing research, and continuing, to do research on imaging for psychiatrists and have been very interested in this topic. I am excited for what next week holds and hope to have most of my research paper done by the end of next week!
