ABOUT ISM

 Independent Study and Mentorship is a highly selective program for juniors and seniors across Frisco ISD to delve deeper into the career choices that pique their interest. Exemplary students are chosen through a process requiring a thorough application, requesting teacher recommendations and an essay, along with an interview. Once accepted, students go through a unique journey with the help of a professional in the field of study chosen, who acts as the student's mentor. Along the way, students develop professionalism, public speaking, connections to other professionals and advance their understanding of the topic they have chose.
